Ok so today marks the eve of my 26th birthday. Besides feeling the usual feelings about getting older, I've decided that I need to work on a few things. I made this blog to keep in touch with family and friends, as well as to use it as a journal type of thing. Well, obviously my blogging skills suck just as bad as my journaling, but thats on my new "happy birthday resolution list."
I've also lived in Arizona for going on two years and I don't have any friends out here...I guess thats what happens when I move somewhere- work 2 jobs, plan a wedding, get married and have a baby all in that time -wow, when I put it that way I feel somewhat accomplished ; ) Anyway, I've always been a pretty social person so not having friends to have girl night with or vent/get advice from or just to talk with has been kinda sucky, good thing Kevin is a trooper...hes a good shopping buddy, but hopefully I'll be able to let him off the hook.
Another item on my list to get a hobby. I know between the having no friends and having no hobby I pretty much sound like a loser who has no purpose in life...and thats the meaning of this resolution list...I need purpose, well I guess more of I need something/outlet for me. Like I said earlier I've been working two jobs for awhile and before that it was school...I never really have time to have an outlet. But, thats going to change(hopefully). The hobbies I'm getting wanting to get into are couponing (okay, i know that sounds lame...but its fun...kind of treasure hunty-ish) and sewing...yup I want to learn how to sew. I see all these oober cute things people make and I wish I could do that...so getting a sewing machine and learning to sew is the icing on my "happy birthday resolution list."
Woo hoo happy birthday to me...now lets see how well I am at accomplishing these things...wish me luck!
