Kevin's Birthday: Sedona and Day 'O Fun

Today is Kevin's 26th Birthday! Woo Hoo, happy birthday to an amazing husband and father! We decided to take the day on Sunday and go to Sedona. Sedona is absolutely gorgeous! The weather was amazing and all the pretty colored wild flowers were in bloom. Because it was Memorial Day weekend the rest of the Phoenix Valley also decided to go up North to Sedona, but it was still a lot of fun to walk around all the shops and have yummy food! The amazing Red Rock Cliffs made the scenery perfect!

It was a miracle yesterday-Kevin didn't have school AND we both had work off-that only happens in a blue moon. I took advantage of the day off and planned a Day 'O Fun for Kevin's birthday celebration. We started by going to breakfast at Crackle Barrel, then we dropped Luke off at Kevin's parents house for the rest of the afternoon. While Luke-free we went to see the new Pirates movie (for those who haven't seen it,stay till the very, very end of the credits). I then took Kevin to Cold Stone for some Birthday Cake Remix icecream...yummy! We then had some time to kill...little did Kevin know that I planned a surprise birthday dinner at Olive Garden with some of his family and best friend. When it was time for us to go to the restaurant Kevin saw Brandon's (his best friend) truck in the parking lot, I tried to play it off by saying "lots o people drive those." It was a great dinner with great company. with full bellies we went back to Kevin's parents house to play games and have cake.

Luke:4 months

When I held Luke for the first time 4 months ago, I didn't realize how right people were when they said "cherish this time, it goes fast." This last month has been a lot of fun with watching Luke grow BIGGER, get a little personality and just being happy. Here is what he's been up to:
-At his 4 month check up he measured 16lbs 1 oz and 24.4 inches long
-He wore 3-6 month clothes for about a week
-He loves to play in his jumper
-He loves to get kissed by the doggies
-Had to take out his head support in his car seat so that he could still fit in his car seat.
-Started sleeping in his "big boy crib."
-Started eating baby cereal.
-Has been very talkative.
-Loves daddy-Luke tickle time.
-He is starting lose his hair in the back, as of now he looks like a red neck with just a single strip of hair in the back.
